The foundation for bird habitat is NATIVE plants, especially trees and shrubs, so the presence of native trees and shrubs that equal 10% or more of all trees and shrubs on the property is required. Audubon At Home strongly encourages participants to include a photo of your bird habitat at the time of registration and then annually to show the progress and growth of your garden, landscape, or natural area. We may use your photos as examples of success stories and "model" habitats to encourage others to help the birds. (see usage terms below)
