Geography/habitat: Mature forests
Features/trails: Walk the trail from the parking area for bird viewing. • Watch for white-tailed deer and box turtles. • State gameland regulations apply.
Key Species: Excellent Worm-eating Warbler, Hooded Warbler, and Baltimore Oriole habitat. Other species include Eastern Wood-Pewee, Wood Thrush, Red-eyed Vireo, and Scarlet Tanager.
Directions: From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-76, take the Route 72, exit 266. Take Route 72 north to Route 322 east. Follow Rt. 322 approximately 6 miles and turn right onto Pumping Station Road. Keep bearing right until you turn right onto Dead End Road. Drive approximately 2 miles and park at the third parking lot on the right. Gazetteer page 79.
